Nintendo has always wanted for players to be able to play games through connection between the Nintendo GameCube and the Nintendo GameBoy Advance. Through the connection, players can unlock secret bonuses and stuff, and be able to trade items on portable games on GameBoy Advance. There are also games that you can play by connecting the GameCube to the GameBoy Advance and even use the GameBoy Advance as a controller. Though there are only a few games that is known to be great through this connectivity. One of those games is The Legend of Zelda – Fours Swords Adventures. Before buying The Legend of Zelda – Four Swords Adventures, you must know what it is and why it is such a great game considering that you need both a GameCube and a GameBoy Advance.
The Legend of Zelda – Four Swords Adventures is a multiplayer game. You can play with your friends that have a GameBoy Advance and connect it to the GameCube. You will need four players in order to triumph in this game. All players will be able to control a Link of their own, each with different colors of dress. This game allows you to compete with each other and yet requires you to cooperate to complete the quests. You can’t spend time hurting each other; you’ve got to work as a team. You’ll have to push blocks with each other at the same time, pull huge levers together, fight a swarm of enemies with each other, and many more. This can’t be done by a single Link. You’ll need all the help you can get. In the game, you can get items to increase your hearts and some special power-ups. But all those are effective only per level.
Once you move on to the next level, all those power-ups and hearts will be lost. You’ll be back using only a normal sword attack, unequipped with secondary weapons you got last level, and your hearts is back to four. These levels can be completed in less than an hour, so it’s not like you’ll get attached to those power-ups. You’ll just have to find those power-ups included in the net level. If you don’t want to cooperate with others, however, then just play the battle mode. In Battle mode, you can attack the other players, create nasty traps, and collect lethal power-ups. Also, there is a single player mode where you can control the four Links at the same time. The original, green Link will lead the group. However, please remember that you won’t game the full experience of this GameBoy Advance to GameCube link without playing it with others.
Overall, you should buy The Legend of Zelda – Four Swords Adventures especially if you were looking for a good reason to link your GBA to the GameCube.
